After finishing the script, setting up shots and finding locations. This week me and my partner Imani started to look for talent. We tried to look for actors that will fit the requirements perfectly. Along with portraying the characters personality by just their looks. This video is a behind the scenes of the shot were Luna is being picked up. We can see all the characters and how they also helped us a little. This picture was taken during the filming of the scene were the second character was introduced. We can see the car behind her and the rest of the characters as well. This is in our way to film lol.

This week, Imani and I finished scripting, we also took a few hours to search for locations that will fit perfectly for the setting, along with testing out some shots to get physical with our ideas. We were trying to do an areal shot of the main character in bed. We set up the tripod in a certain way but then we realized it was impossible to make the motion we wanted. So then we decided to use a gimbal, it turned out as we wanted. We found the perfect location to do the "car pickup scenes", due to the location's aesthetic. These place gives the audience an understanding that they were in their houses.  After all these process and preparation, we can continue to start filming next week :)

One of the biggest movies that inspired me to chose the romantic/drama topic, is the Fault Is In Our Stars, along with The Kissing Booth, To All the Boys I've Loved Before and 5 Feet Apart. Although this were my major movies inspirations, for the first part of the opening scene, I found a movie that is very different from what I waned my movie to be, and that is 16 Wishes, a Disney Chanel movie. At first I didn't wanted to incorporate this movie in my ideologies, because I never really liked this movie when I was younger, because it's a very basic and boring movie. But after watching the first few minutes, I though it would be very interesting to base my movie opening with that one, just a little more interesting and visually pleasing and soothing, and then increase the mood on the clip.  Another movie that inspired my movie opening was: To All The Boys I've Loved Before, again, I didn't want to base my movie on this one at first because I don't want it...

There are plenty titles displayed in a wall of pictures, ZDF German Television Network, Warner Films Production, later on it show the title of the movie "Dance Academy", and then the names of the producers in another scene. what images are prioritized in the opening sequence? We can see a wall full of pictures of what it seems to be the main character, we see her dancing pictures with a voice over of her explaining that she doesn't dance anymore, later on we can see the group of dancers getting ready to perform, but she is watching them at work. what connotations do the images carry? I chose to do episode 7 season 5 from “The Flash” because it shows many Mise-en-scene examples, such as setting, lighting, costume and staging. Also I chose this TV show because it's one of my favorites; the cinematographic, the scripting, editing, and the special effects always catch my attention.  Starting off the episode we find a little girl laying in a hospital bed. The mood is quiet, she's holding a toy, it seems like she was in an accident, she had scars and seemed hurt. The atmosphere is very dark with just one window open, everything is silent with sad music. This scene introduces us to the start of the episode, we (the audience) assumes that Barry Allen is going to solve the mystery of the accident and destroy the enemy,  the darkest setting portrays sadness, mystery, suspense and sorrow. Essay  The scene we used for the film elements analysis, was the opening scene from the 1st episode of  Agent Carter. In this 5 minute scene we could found many film elements such as: camera shots, editing, sound and Mise-en-scene, that contributed to the flowing of the story as a whole.   Starting of Camera Angles, we can appreciate a Head On Shot on the very first scene were Steve is landing the plane on ice, were it shows the camera positioned in a low angle while the plane goes directly to the camera and then cuts to the next shot this gives the audience a more realistic look. We can also find many close ups , one of them would be when Steve Knows he’s about to die and he looks Peggie’s picture, this close ups let’s the audience have a better look of the picture and the meaning of it. 5 Master Editing Techniques 

Imani's Blog Dolly Shot: Consisted in a girl walking in a school hallway, in between some pillars that makes the visuals look pretty interesting. I commented on how much I liked the location for this shot, making it very appealing. Extreme Close-up: Consisted in a little bug in a tree. I commented on the creativity and the cuteness on the shot, it was also very steady. Full Shot: Consisted on a guy smelling a flower from a tree, after he smelled it his face expression made this shot really funny. I commented on the comedy and the steadiness of the shot, genuine. Head-on Shot: I loved this one. Consisted in a guy walking into the camera, which sounds pretty simple, but what made it authentic was the lack of shakiness on the shot and the fact that when he walked into the camera, the shot became completely black giving the opportunity for a transition to a following shot. Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse (2018)  I chose to comment on this movie because the visuals and the CGI are beautiful. I also think there is plenty of camera angles examples that, although is an animated movie, they express plenty of emotions that make this movie very interesting and visually appealing. Here are some good examples I found of some camera angles:  Close-up Shot This is one of my favorite scenes. Miles Morales has been told that he doesn't fit with the spider-men from other dimensions because he's not week, he's tighten up in a chair right now. His dad encourages him to not give up and he develops this new type of "lighten"super power that makes him stronger and now he's able to escape from the chair and go back to the adventure, giving the viewer hope, a sense of closeness to Miles, curiosity about what's Miles next action.  Locked -down Shot This is a very funny scene. Cameo Shot This was a very easy shot to film, I was going for a very chill and atmospheric tone, just a girl laying in a plain wall looking away reflecting tranquilness.  Close Shot Another easy shot to film. Just a shot of a conversation not showing the other person talking. Casual tone. Close Up This shot was a little bit more difficult to film, I had to find a position where the camera stood still and focus on the paper. I wanted it to be a type of suspense shot where the person is in a hurry and an important paper fell.  Establishing Shot This shot was difficult because it was hart to keep the camera still without a tripod. I wanted to focus in a happy and positive tone, the nature in this location contributes a lot with this shot due to the vibrant color of the grass and trees. Why am I taking this class? I would like to start by mentioning that I'm a fan of any cinematographic piece, I like everything that involves TV producing, from scripting, directing, filming, performing, to editing. I would say it's my passion, as a CTV member I've got to know my behavior and feelings towards the TV and filming industries. I've gotten to fall in love and get addicted to the process, I've decided that it's what I wanna do when I grow up and I want to become successful as a TV producer. Although I'm involved in plenty other activities such as: being officer of Latinos In Action, Theater, my job (at Jimmy John's , #notsponsored) AP and Honors classes, (I was in band last year but we don't talk about that...) The broadcasting and filming path would always be my #1 hobbies.
